Biography He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colima, Colima, Mexico, in 2004, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from CINVESTAV, Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. From 2010 to 2017, he held various teaching positions at the Technological University of Manzanillo, Mexico. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Visiting Student at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, and a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2011 to 2012, working on smart grid topics. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Colima in 2017 as a Full-Time Professor. His research interests include modeling, simulation, control, stability in power systems, smart homes, renewable energy, and engineering teaching methodologies using Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality.
